Our doctors help patients with impaired vision use their remaining sight more effectively. By performing a low vision examination, also called a functional vision assessment, we evaluate how you use your remaining sight in performing daily living tasks. Based on this exam, we can prescribe the latest customized specialty lenses, low vision device or technology that can help you make the most of your vision.
Macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, glaucoma, optic nerve atrophy, retinal detachment, and vision loss due to stroke are some of the conditions that respond to our low vision rehabilitation services.
If you have difficulty reading the small print, have poor night vision, trouble driving or even difficulty performing daily activities due to low vision, a Grove Eye Care optometrist can help.
For over three decades, the Grove Eye Care team has provided primary care examinations using the latest technology. This includes extensive diagnosis and management of a whole host of ocular diseases. We manage a wide variety of ocular diseases including macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and cataracts. Our team has excellent referral sources for those requiring surgical treatment. We provide co-management care for a number of surgical procedures including cataract surgery, laser vision corrective surgery, and surgical glaucoma procedures.
Many people think eye injuries require an immediate trip to the emergency room. The expense and hassle of such a trip to the hospital are rarely needed. Our doctors manage eye injuries such as corneal abrasions, minor lid lacerations, blunt trauma, chemical burns, and others. We have the proper equipment to make an accurate diagnosis and effectively treat your eye injury and can usually bill participating medical insurers those services.
Computer Vision Syndrome describes a group of eye and vision-related problems that result from prolonged computer use. Many individuals experience eye discomfort and vision issues when viewing a computer screen for extended periods. Viewing a computer screen often makes the eyes work harder and as a result, the unique visual demands of computer viewing make many individuals susceptible to the development of vision-related symptoms.
Symptoms of Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) include eyestrain, headaches, blurred vision, dry eyes and more. Don’t risk your vision. We can help.
The InfantSEE program is designed to provide the first eye exam in a child’s life at no cost as long as the exam occurs within the child’s first year of life. Children can be born with large amounts of near or far-sightedness that goes undetected for years which can lead to developmental delays. These can easily be identified by our team and addressed before it inhibits development. The doctors at Grove Eye Care prefer that these examinations occur around 6 months of age, but they may be performed for FREE at any time in the first year of life. To schedule an InfantSEE examination please call the office.
Tired of wearing glasses or contacts every day? Our team can help you decide if laser vision correction, LASIK, is right for you. For patients who have chosen laser vision correction, your Grove Eye Care physician will also provide all before and after surgery care.
