Low Vision & Specialty Lenses

Our doctors help patients with impaired vision use their remaining sight more effectively. By performing a low vision examination, also called a functional vision assessment, we evaluate how you use your remaining sight in performing daily living tasks. Based on this exam, we can prescribe the latest customized specialty lenses, low vision device or technology that can help you make the most of your vision.

Macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, glaucoma, optic nerve atrophy, retinal detachment, and vision loss due to stroke are some of the conditions that respond to our low vision rehabilitation services.

If you have difficulty reading the small print, have poor night vision, trouble driving or even difficulty performing daily activities due to low vision, a Grove Eye Care optometrist can help.

InfantSEE

The InfantSEE program is designed to provide the first eye exam in a child’s life at no cost as long as the exam occurs within the child’s first year of life. Children can be born with large amounts of near or far-sightedness that goes undetected for years which can lead to developmental delays. These can easily be identified by our team and addressed before it inhibits development. The doctors at Grove Eye Care prefer that these examinations occur around 6 months of age, but they may be performed for FREE at any time in the first year of life. To schedule an InfantSEE examination please call the office.
